Job Summary:
The CATH LAB Tech is responsible for assisting physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, monitoring patients' vital signs, and operating specialized imaging equipment. They play a critical role in providing quality patient care and maintaining a sterile environment in the catheterization laboratory.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities to the medical team
- Operate specialized imaging equipment to capture images of the heart and blood vessels
- Ensure the catheterization laboratory is clean and sterile before and after procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT)
- Experience working in a catheterization laboratory preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
